Dan Croc was born in the small clearing of Edora Pond to the proud parents, Randall and Joanne Croc. Randall was a real estate agent working for the agency run by Mr. Tongus Iguana. Joanne was a stay at home mother, but tended to spend most of her time outside of the house. Ever since Daniel was a child, his parents wanted the best for him, to be the best real estate agent around, but Dan didn't want this. He wanted to make his own mark on the world. He felt that he needed to protect his younger brother, Freddie from his parent's dreams and tended to keep him outside of the house, but Freddie's needy behavior started to drive him further away.
When Dan was in grammar school, he met the only other child his age that live in Edora Pond, Mark Gator. They became quick friends, even though their social class differences would usually cause a barrier between them. Dan tended to be the decision-maker of the group, since Mark seemed to go with the flow, never taking responsibility for his decisions and actions. It was until the day that his parents were taken when Dan truly realized his true self and where the road to his future led him to.
